PRICING

Pay for the minutes you actually talk.

A call-minute is answered talk time, billed in tenths of a minute and rounded up once per call. Every paid plan ships with a hard cap switched on, so an agent that decides to phone you nine times in a row runs out of minutes instead of running up a bill.

Hard cap

On by default, on every paid plan.

When the included minutes are gone, HotlinePing stops placing calls and your agent gets a clear quota result instead of a decision. You can lift it; nothing lifts it for you.

Overage

Off until you switch it on.

Turn it on and minutes past the allowance are metered — Pro at $0.35 a call-minute, Team at $0.30 a call-minute. Leave it off and the cap holds. Free has no overage at all.

Never billed

Ringing is free. So is a no-answer.

Unanswered, busy, and failed-before-answer calls cost nothing and never touch your allowance.

METERING

What counts as a call-minute.

One rule, applied identically on every plan. If you are not talking to someone, you are not being billed.

  • The clock starts when someone answers

Ringing time is free. So are voicemail, busy signals, and calls that fail before anyone picks up — none of them count as a call-minute.

  • Each call rounds up to the next tenth of a minute

A 40-second call is 0.7 call-minutes. Rounding happens once per escalation, not per turn in the conversation.

  • Mid-call task time is talk time

If you ask the agent to run the tests while you stay on the line, that waiting is part of the same call and is metered the same way.

  • Minutes belong to the workspace

One allowance covers everyone on the plan, whichever verified contact was called and whichever client raised the escalation.

BILLING QUESTIONS

The rest of the small print.

More about the product itself is answered on the home page FAQ.

How does the hard cap work?

Every paid plan starts with the cap switched on. When the included minutes are gone, HotlinePing stops placing calls and your agent gets a clear quota result instead of a decision. Switch on metered overage when you would rather keep calling and pay per minute.

What is a seat?

One person in the workspace who can connect a coding client and be reached by a call. Free and Pro include one seat. Team includes three and adds more at $25 per month each.

Do unused minutes roll over?

No. Included minutes reset at the start of each billing period. The Free allowance of 3 calls and 9 call-minutes, after your free first call, is a one-time total rather than a monthly one, and calls stop when it is spent.

Can I switch between monthly and annual?

Yes. Annual billing charges ten months up front and gives you two free. Plan and period changes take effect from your next billing period.

What is never charged?

Unanswered, busy, and failed-before-answer calls, and anything your agent does outside a live call. You are billed for answered talk time only.

Do I need a card to try it?

No. Free needs an account and one verified phone contact. Nothing else.
